The hamlet of Quechee, Vermont was settled in the 1760s and is one of five un-incorporated villages in the larger town of Hartford, Vermont. It is home to the Quechee Lakes planned community, established in the late 1960s, and the beloved Quechee Lakes Ski Area. The Quechee Lakes Landowners Association (QLLA) was the first of its size to come under the jurisdiction of Vermont’s Land Use Act 250 Law. As such, the community is well planned with great attention to its natural surroundings which include the Ottauquechee River Valley, its hillsides, open meadows, and woodland. Today, the Quechee Lakes Resort is one of New England’s finest for seasonal and year-round owners.
