When Lebanon Opera House reopened its doors on February 8th, the historic music hall began celebrating its 100th season following the completion of an over $4 million, five-month renovation. As Sustaining Sponsors for the 2024 Season, Higgerson & Company is proud to have made a major contribution to support the arts in the Upper Valley. And it is a personal pleasure to help promote LOH@100 and what will be a great year of live performances.
Since 1924, Lebanon Opera House has served as a vaudeville theater, movie house, city hall, and performing arts center – a vital community hub and gathering place for people of all ages. Looking to the future and taking an approach that honored the building’s architecture, scale, and history, with a view toward improved accessibility, comfort, and technical capacity, LOH has completed a transformative upgrade to its systems and interior spaces.
Visitors will discover a totally new experience when taking in a show at LOH. The new seats are wide. And plush. And have cup holders. The new sound is spectacular. LOH@100 has presented the community with a historic treasure transformed into a state-of-the-art beacon of creativity.
The events calendar for LOH’s 100th Anniversary season is too packed to list here, but covers a broad spectrum of live performance from the stand-up comedy of Paula Poundstone and Bob Marley, to the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and Zach Nugent’s Dead Set.
